Middle East and Infertility

I'm off to New Haven today to attend a lecture by Marcia Inhorn, a Yale professor who specializes in medical anthropology and reproduction in the Middle East. In particular, she focuses on fertility and infertility treatments and issues of religion and identity which surround infertility. I'm quite excited. I'm also excited because of everything that has been happening in Egypt, where we have both family and friends, all of whom are thankfully safe, demanding their political rights, and protecting their neighborhoods. It's quite inspiring. So is this awesome video on Egyptians volunteering to clean the streets and provide services to one another. I could write much more about this issue, but I'm trying to stay on blog-topic!
